Becker Transport & Aggregate participated in MSHA (Mine Safety & Health Administration) training on Wednesday, march 29th, held at the Wadena VFW. This is an annual training made available to those in our area involved in the mining industry.

The instructor for this 7-hour class was Ashley Gillund, Safety and Health Instructor with Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls.

this weeks session focused on a variety of safety and health topics from First Aid and CPR, to operating an AED, to fire safety, burns, chemicals, injuries, fatalities and more.

Becker Becker Transport & Aggregate understands the importance of our employees having the proper training and being prepared to react to these types of situations. “It’s important that we are doing what we can as a company to take care of our employees in the event of an unforeseen accident, and this training is key to the safety of our valued team”-Randy Becker said.

Becker Transport & Aggregate just held it’s annual “safety day” on March 17th, so having this annual MSHA training now is crucial to the overall safety of our team day to day, especially as we approach a busy spring and summer ahead.

We would like to especially thank Ashley Gillund, with Northland Community & Technical College for making the trip here, and keeping this important training meaningful and vital to our industry.

Ashley Gillund
